BRITISH SENDS MILITARY TEAM TO LIBYA

The British military is planning on expanding its presence in Libya. Military advisors in the European Union said the organization is prepared to send troops for humanitarian assistance if the United Nations requests it. There are plans for increased Western involvement, as Gadafi is unrelenting in his stance of remaining power. While airstrikes have been carried out in order to deter Gadafi, NATO has said Gadafi’s forces have started hiding resources in civilian areas, making airstrikes more difficult to carry out without harming civilians.
