Amazing NFL Divisional Round
This year’s NFL Divisional Round was extremely remarkable, as it was the first time that every game was decided by a last-second field goal. On the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 22, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Tennessee Titans 19-16 on an Evan MacPherson 52-yard field goal. That night, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers 13-10 on a last-second field goal by Robbie Gould. The first game on Sunday, Jan. 23 featured the Los Angeles Rams quelling a furious comeback by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win 30-27. Finally, the Sunday nightcap featured arguably one of the best playoff games of all time, with the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the Buffalo Bills 42-36 in overtime.
